Donie O'Connell getting his first prize in his new age category
As usual the Rising Sun AC held the annual Paddy Desmond 4 mile race today St Patricks Day.It was up and above their usual very high standard ,well stewarded,clearly marked and quick results.Their prizes in all categories are the best in the county and put many bigger clubs to shame.
Needless to say Midleton AC were well up in the prizes. Neilus Aherne (a great advertisment for his own massage) again came 1st o/50 and Breda Cahill 3rd o/35 and Margaret Barry 1st o/50. But a very special mention must be made of Donie O'Connell who was running his first race in his new category of o/60 and came 3rd in his first outing Well done Donie
