WEEKEND RUNAROUND

All Ireland T& F

We had two athletes competing in the All Ireland T&F today.

 Dinny McLean set another PB of 1.57.40 in the 800m Heats.Less than 2 seconds away from qualifying for final.

Sean O’Riordan had a brilliant competition also, finishing 4th in the Discuss with a throw of 33.03m, agonisingly close to a Bronze which was taken with a throw of 33.22m

Meadhbh Corkery took U20 Gold in Pole Vault, Alex Jaworski took Bronze in U20 Long Jump and Odhrán O’Sullivan took Silver in U20 800m

Dungarvan 10Km

In Dungarvan we had Ger, John and Neilus

Dundrum 10Km

Michael Beirne had a fine run in Dundrum 10Km

Corkbeg 4 Mile

Thursday evening an evening of shadows and sunshine saw the biggest crowd in many a year take to the roads around Whitegate where we saw some great racing. As always we had a large crowd of runners there and all did well/. Conor Cronin making his debut on the roads in a Midleton AC vest was our first man home and our first lady was Dee Duran who followed shortly after. 

Well done to all who ran and well done East Cork AC for keeping this great traditional race going.
