St Catherine's AC 5Km Conna
There was just over one hundred runners there on Friday evening which was a lovely evening for a race. Brian Cott was our first runner home finishing 3rd O/45 (losing out by three seconds on 2nd prize). Maurice Corcoran had another fine run as had Susan Fitzgerald.

A reminder that the highlight of the ECAD track season for Senior, Masters, and Junior athletes takes place on June 23rd, once again hosted by Carraig Na Bhfear AC. A huge thank you to the club and all the volunteers for hosting this fantastic event.

This really is a great event and well worth supporting. There are events suitable for everyone and is really a fun evening. If you can't run please come and support. Events like this need your support to keep them going.

Wednesday evening saw the annual Musgraves 5km take place in the Marina We had a number of runners there. With Edmond O'Sullivan 3rd O/60 and Neilus Aherne 1st O/70. John Cashman, Dan Twohig and Amanda Cooney also took part. Conor Cronin was our first runner home in 19.45 Well done all.

A Great Race and A GREAT Cause

IMRA Galtymore uphill race, 10 June 2026
Report by André Brodkorb

4.5km up Galtymore, with a 700m climb – what a class race with a touch of madness.
The start of the race was at King’s Yard on the foot of the Galtee Mountains, and the course was pretty simple: up and up and up until the quads burn, and so they did!
Slow uphill running and speed walking the steep slopes, but all laughs and smiles at the top of 919m Galtymore. The usual gale-force winds prevented anyone from hanging around for too long. It took me 47:31min to the top, with the winners probably 10min or so ahead of me. Donnie Walsh: “Mix things up and get out of your comfort zone every six weeks or so!” Here you go! There are a few more uphill “Sky Races” on the IMRA calendar - yes you can
