Relay for Life 2022
Midleton AC members, families and friends,
After a hiatus of two years Midleton AC is delighted to once again take part in the Relay for Life for the Irish Cancer Society 2022. This event will take place in the CBS secondary field, on Saturday the 27th of August and finish on Sunday the 28th at 3pm. This 24 hour fun and festival event brings the community together to celebrate cancer survivors and remember those who have lost their lives to cancer. Midleton AC team will maintain a 24 hour relay around the track while hosting a fundraising event in the tent, and as darkness falls candles will be placed in candle bags which will be sold by the team captains at training in the coming weeks costing €5.
Please support this very worthy cause.
Many thanks,
Louise and Yvonne.

WEEKEND RUNAROUND
Tralee Wetlands Half Marathon
Super well done to our Captain Declan Dorgan who finished 3rd today in the Tralee Wetlands Half Marathon in the fine time of 1.27.18. He is pictured here with his biggest supporter Aoibhin.
Run Killarney
Margaret Jones and Aiden Browne heading towards the finish line in Killarney
Two of our ladies ran "Run Killarney" Half Marathon this morning after a very early start to get there. Margaret finished 5th in her category. Here they are above modelling their new Run Killarney tops. Well done ladies.
Also well done to Christopher McCarthy, Leonard Healy and Aidan Browne who ran the Half also.
Galtee Runners 8Km
In Mitchelstown on Friday evening for an 8km race Amanda Cooney finished 2nd O/60.
Henry Milward Reports.
I went down to Tramore Valley Park this morning for this race, District and Leisure 5k I think it was called, only 56 people there I think, friendly little race though. I ran 17.58, nice honest course which is the same as the parkrun course which has restarted there (ridiculous I suppose to pay money for a race the day after a free Parkrun but nice to get a race in sometimes).

NOVARTIS 5Km BHAA
We had loads of runners out for the Novartis 5Km on Wednesday evening. Over the traditional Novartis course there were the usual number of hills with an uphill finish making it one of the toughest races around.
Results
Vicki Spiteri 1st O/35
Paul Spiteri 2nd O/40
Edmond O'Sullivan 2nd O/60
Joe Power 2nd O/65
Both Vicki and Paul were winners tonight
Coming up shortly
