Midleton AC WIN 1st TEAM

Tamzin Muldowney 3rd Lady and John Hennessy 3rd Male

Our winning team minus Tamzin Muldowney

Once again we saw some great running from our members tonight in Ballynoe at St Catherines AC 5Km road race. It was great to see Tamzin Muldowney finishing as 3rd Lady hopefully on her way back to full racing fitness whilst the ever consistent John Hennessy was 3rd Male finisher. Eileen Leahy had a fine run also finishing 4th Lady.It was great also to see John Aherne who is turning into a very fine runner take 2nd O/45. His first ever prize for running.

But not only did john get his first ever prize he got his second as well when he helped the Midleton AC TEAM take FIRST PRIZE in the mixed team category.

The team consisted of John Hennessy, Christopher McCarthy, John Aherne and Tamzin Muldowney.

It was great also to see so many of our recent C2 5K group all running very well. Well done to all who ran and big thanks to St Catherines AC who organised such an excellent event.

Kinsale 5 Mile

We had a nice crew at the Kinsale 5 also and some very good runs were had. Big thanks to Margaret Twohig for the photos.
On the results front I expect we had a few PBs as this is the fastest course in the county but our prizewinners were.

Kevin Smith 2nd O/45
Margaret Jones 2nd O/50

Fantastic Win For Tony Forrestal in Dupuy Synthes 4 Mile BHAA and

Midleton Collective 2nd Team Grade A

We saw an evening of great running at the Dupuy Synthes 4 Mile in Ringaskiddy on Wednesday evening when Tony Forrestal (21.20) led from start to finish to win and get himself a new PB whilst at it. Not only that but he was followed home by his team mates in Midleton Collective Declan Dorgan (23.44) and Mark Cronin (23.59) both breaking the twenty four minute barrier and getting PBs to boot. They also got 2nd Team for Midleton Collective in Grade A.

Declan Dorgan also took 3rd O/45 and Joe Power once again got 2nd O/65. Aidan Browne also had a good run. Our ladies  Margaret Twohig, Martha McNamara, Linda Curtin and Amanda Cooney all ran very well to make it a great night for all our runners.

Starting as he meant to go on and win. Tony Forristal
