Carrigaline 5 Mile

The Carrigaline 5 Mile took place on Sunday morning in really tough conditions. We had a fine crowd there and its great to see so many from the club supporting another club race.

Henry Milward reports "Very fast start downhill and when we had some of the wind in our favour, up to míle 2 there were only short climbs but then by mile 3 the wind hit and so did the climbs, which slowed things down considerably. Good challenging course altogether as I'm sure you know, with the added complication of the wind. But good fun all the same and it was still fairly mild at that time."

We had some great results from our members. John Cashman 1st O/55 Ian Kohler 1st O/75. Donie O'Connell 2nd O/70, Loveness Hegarty 2nd O/35 we came 6th Team with Henry Milward, Christopher McCarthy and John Cashman.

Christopher McCarthy had a great run once again with 33.13 showing the Monday Night Sessions are paying dividends and special mention must go to Niamh Murphy who just progressed from our last C2 5K Group to run her first 5 Mile in fine style in such tough conditions. Well done Niamh.

Big thanks to Eagle AC for another great event and thanks to Kathleen O'Connell and Loveness Hegarty for the photo's and Henry Milward for the report .

Youghal Park Run

Caroline 1st Lady

Caroline Geary was the 1st lady home (21.40) in the Youghal Park run on Saturday and Fionan OhAodain had another good one in 25.33.

Reports and Photo's

If you are interested in having your results and/or photos posted on the blog. (and we hope you are) Please send them to me by Text or What's App to 0872403940 or email to mdtacinfo@gmail.com. I cannot keep track of all events members take part in especially Park Runs as there are so many to go through and a lot of the time its only names are listed.

The  club is  always interested in what our members get up to so please keep sending in stuff and reports of races etc. are especially welcome from our members. So get writing and posting.

Also I have no control as to what photo's etc. appear in the press as they are normally and thankfully taken from the blog.

Best of luck to all racing this weekend. Danny
