Midleton 5
A Race and A Club To Be Proud Of
Our race the Midleton 5 took place on Thursday evening and was a wonderful success with almost six hundred and fifty entries. Under the great stewardship of race director Eugene McCarthy everyone played a blinder. A huge thank you to all our members and volunteers who helped out in so many ways.Without you this event could not take place also to each and everyone who ran. Also thank you to all our sponsors and to the local Gardai again without whose help we could not go ahead. A special thank you to everyone who brought food members, supporters and even the members from other clubs who came with their hands full. Once again the famous "Midleton Spread" was to the fore.
A massive thank you to Midleton Council workers who tirelessly repaired the road and the potholes and helped fix up the big hole in the service road left there by contractors. To see Maire Walsh and Eugene McCarthy sweeping the road before the race just shows the dedication put into this race by our members. Well done all.
We had lots of prize winners and PBs also from the club including Sheila Buckley, Ann Geary, Margaret Jones, Marie Gillman, Kathleen O'Connell, Morgan O'Regan ,Donie O'Connell and many more.
