East Cork Road Racing Championships

Ballynoe 26th April @ 7.30

We Need You
Yes You

The East Cork Road Racing Championships take place in Ballynoe on 26th April (the Thursday after Ballintotis ) at 7.30 for the ladies and 8pm for the men.

As Club Captain Claire Fitzgerald said at training last Monday evening she wants as many as possible from the club to take part. From the fastest to the slowest you are all needed. The ladies have only to run 3Km and most of that is downhill so have no fear every lady in the club can run 3Km with ease.

The men have to run 5 miles and again almost every man in the club can do that so please come out and support your club.

Claire asked for as many as possible to give their names in so she can have an estimate of how many we have.
You can give your names to Claire on Monday at training or anytime also you can email mdtacinfo@gmail.com .
If unsure please give your name anyway of if its a very late decision you can enter on the night. You must wear your club singlet. Danny

BALLINTOTIS 4 MILE

On a beautiful evening for running we saw some absolutely cracking running here this evening with Michael Harty setting a new course record in fine style. Over eight hundred runners took part.We had great success here ourselves with Ann Geary coming 2nd lady overall also Breda Sheedy came 1st O/50, Catriona McGregor 2nd O/55 and Amanda Cooney 3rd O/55. Derek Aherne who is flying at present got himself a new PB.

The whole event was very well organised as always with plenty of stewards and as one has come to expect a fantastic spread after. Once again the community of Ballintotis can take a bow for showing how things should be done.
