Dungarvan 10

Sunday morning dawned and it was the day everyone wanted as it was an ideal day for running. We had a huge crowd out in Dungarvan and we came home with some great results. Claire Parker had a mighty run and broke the elusive ninety minutes getting a new PB so its onwards and upwards for Dublin now. Yvonne Fitzgerald had the run of her life and got a PB also as did Brian Martin plus several others.
Morgan O'Regan had a great run and was our first man home and our first lady home was
Ann Geary who came 3rd O/40 and 10th Lady overall. Helen Gilroy out for an easy run after her holidays wound up winning 3rd O/50 whilst Neilus Aherne kept the men's flag flying with 1st O/60.
A huge well done to Gerry Fitzgerald who did his first ten miler and had a super run, No doubt it will be the first of many.
All reports from Trim show a great day out on a tough course but all are promising to go again next year.
I am still waiting for the Cross Country results to come to hand but Edmond O'Sullivan had a brilliant run closely followed by Mike Hallihan whilst Sally Drennan was the 3rd Cork lady to score for the Cork Team. More to follow later.
