When One Second Is Worth 500Euro

Well done to all our crew who ran the John Buckley 10 Mile in Cork on a very pleasant Sunday morning. Most seemed to be happy with their runs.

Michael Harty  was the overall winner and had a fantastic solo run where equaled the course record. If he had been one second faster he would have broken the course record and earned himself 500 euro extra. Going under the clock Michael was 49.38 and everyone thought he had done it but his chip time showed 49.39 which is the course record.

Thankfully and because he so well deserved it the organisers awarded him the 500e after all. Well done Michael and fair dues to the sponsors.

All our crew doing the half (70.3) are home safe and with excellent times and our man Mike is out there doing the full.
