Baking Appeal

Hi All

Every year without fail we are amazed at our members' efforts, whether baking cakes, throwing some delicious sandwiches together or donating boxes of sweets.  Everything is appreciated so we can continue our reputation as one of the best races out there for the 'afters'.

I will be there from 5.30 pm Thursday to accept anything you can donate.   If you can take into consideration as well the array of tastes out there from vegans to those who may have intolerance to certain foods, it would be greatly appreciated.

Again many thanks.

East Cork Road Racing Championships Ballynoe

Silver For Our Ladies Team

Dee collecting the team medals

A great night once again in Ballynoe despite numbers being down overall. Our ladies team were led home by Dee Duran who ran a great race battling all the way . She was closely followed by Eileen Leahy and Sinead Falvey who made up our team. We were narrowly defeated for Gold by just one point  ( who is always saying every place counts). All our ladies worked so hard to make it a great night. Well done Caroline, Melanie, Brigid, Nathalie and Joan.
Our men's team consisted of Darren Ahern, Derek Ahern, Declan Dorgan and Dan Twohig. All ran  extremely well and battled hard to take 5th team again losing out on 4th by just two points. Apologies were given and accepted by many of our ladies but where, oh where were the rest of our men ? .
Well done to all who ran and to all who supported. Whilst it was dry for the Ladies race we saw some heavy rain during the mens. As always St Catherine's put on a great spread after. Also to our own John Hennessy and Barry Drennan who made sure everything ran so smoothly.

 Bandon 5k

Well done to Vicki Spiteri (18,50) who finished 5th overall in the Bandon 5Km. Margaret Twohig Anglin also had a fine run, The conditions were of rain all the way,
