WEEKEND RUNAROUND

BHAA Turkey Trot In Aid Of Cork Simon



                                               It was a lovely morning for the 4 mile run organised by the Cork BHAA. The atmosphere was very festive with lots of people dressed in santa hats etc .Aidan Heavin a newcomer to the club- was 6th overall - just a few seconds outside of his predicted time .
Others i saw there were Louise, Paula O'Sullivan,Amanda Stavrou,Esther Murphy, Mary O' Keeffe,Ann Marie O'Donovan, Kathleen O'Connell.
 John O'Halloran,Don Ryan,Declan Dorgan, Donie O'Connell.

There were lots of seasonal spot prizes and singalong -a party atmosphere.

Dates to remember

Shanagarry 5Km this takes place next Sat 20th at 12 noon

Captains Run this takes place on Christmas Eve at 10am.Starting from Barryscourt Castle and covering the 5km of the usual Carrigtwohill course. This is a non competitive event and all proceeds will go to the Carrigtwohill branch of SVP so you can make a donation even if you don't run.It usually is great fun followed by a cuppa and some bickies from Edmonds Magig Bus.

Letter From St Catherines AC

We are holding our annual 3k in Conna community field on Tuesday next 16th Dec at 7.30pm. Usual conditions, 5 euro donation, every cent goes to Saint  Vincent de Paul, warm cup of tea and a biscuit after, interesting track and a good atmosphere. You might spread the word to anyone that would be interested.

Midleton AC Donate 500 Euro to
 St Vincent De Paul

Midleton AC has donated 500 Euro to St Vincent De Paul (Midleton Branch) for Xmas. This is funds from our annual race of which we usually donate to a local charity. This year we decided to wait until end of the year to make the donation and SVP was the unanimous choice.

Congrats Ireland Ladies and Donie Walsh
A big congrats to the Irish Ladies team who took bronze in the European Cross Country Championships on Sunday. Its worth noting that two of these ladies Michelle Finn and Laura Crowe are coached by Donie Walsh.

REMINDER tonight

Just a reminder that the 6th annual cross country race under floodlights goes ahead at 7pm on Friday 12th of December around the CIT GAA pitches in Bishopstown.

5k for men and 3k for women.



Entry fee of €5 with proceeds to Make a wish Foundation and CIT AC. Registration will take pace upstairs in the main GAA stand, on the side furthest away from the college. Refreshments provided afterwards.

BHAA TURKEY TROT

This fantastic event takes place next Sunday at 11am in aid of Cork Simon. It is an event that everyone from the slowest to the fastest has a chance to win. What you have to do is predict your time for the 4 mile race and the nearest people to their times wins. No watches are allowed.


 
This really is an event worth supporting and is guaranteed to cure post wedding hangovers etc.
 
 
Membership 2015
 
At the request of some members (who like to get in early and buy presents for people) Membership for the 2015 season will be available at training next week. The price remains the same 70 Euro for the year Jan 2015 to Dec 2015. ( students and unemployed 25euro)
Also at the request of the membership instalments will be available and the 70 euro can be paid in two tranches if desired.
Your current membership expires at the end of Dec 2014 but you will remain insured to train and compete until the end of Jan 2015.
