The Robbie Steele Memorial 4 Mile Race
It was a
wonderful occasion as always to remember this amazing young man and as always
Midleton AC turned out in great numbers for the occasion.
There were so many good runs and PBs that it is impossible to list them all. Our ladies were outstanding as always with Sinead Keavney taking 1St overall and Helen Gilroy 2nd overall. So great to see these two ladies getting back on form. Whilst Gillian Bransfield finishing 5th lady overall took 1st O/35 followed by Anne Marie Perry took 1st O/40 and Shevaun Hogan winning her first ever prize took 1st O/45 with Mary O'Keeffe taking 1st O/50 and lots of our other ladies got PBs.

great runs also with David Moynihan our first man home followed by Edwin
Cashman getting another PB on his home turf.
Our
prizewinners were Ger McLean 2nd O/45 and Mark Walsh having another
great run with 1st O/55.
The whole
night was rounded off with a great Barbeque and all in aid of very worthy local
charities. It was a pity that other local clubs did not come out in large numbers to support this superbly organised event but there is always next year.
