WEEKEND RUNAROUND

Clarenbridge Report

This is how the day began

Atrocious conditions--course 99% deep mud. Neilus 4th O/60 Edwin 1st home for Midleton AC . Then Neilus, Dereck and Edmond.
Midleton AC 16th team  (in Ireland) two places ahead of East Cork AC
This was worse than the Tipperary gig we ran two years ago. Edmond

Well done guys ye did us proud as always Danny

Jannsen 6km

We had a fine crew out here on Sunday morning despite the snow and sleet. Marie Gillman came 2nd O/59 and Joan Mc Carthy came 1st O/60 and Donie O'Connell 3rd O/65. As always it was a very well organised event.
Special congrats to Eoin White who did his first 6Km after just joining the C25K group in January. Well done Eoin.
Apologies for lack of photo's but the weather was very bad.

Clarenbridge Cross Country

Best of luck to our crew going to Clarenbridge for the All Ireland's on Sunday next. We have four members running Neilus Aherne, Edmond O'Sullivan, Edwin Cashman and Derek Aherne and we wish them all well. Some are relatively new to cross country and others are already champions but no doubt they will all do our club proud.
They sad tale is that our cross country pioneer Sally Drennan cannot make it due to injury but no doubt will be back in action soon.
