ARDMORE 5
The famous Ardmore 5 took place on Friday evening. A race renown for it quality fields over the years. I am delighted to report that Helen Gilroy came 1st Lady O/50 and Mick Murphy came 2nd O/45.
Once again the " Rocket" that is Derek Aherne these days notched up another PB. This man seems to be getting PBs in every race he does these days and these are not just PBs they are PBs with really good fast times. I wonder is it anything to do with the great cross country season he just finished ?. Far be it from me to say " I told you so". Danny
Bweeng 5Km and 10 Km
Ann Geary continues on her winning ways in the Bweeng 5Km on Sunday when she ran a PB of 18.24 coming 5th Lady overall and 1st Lady O/35. There is no slowing this lady at the moment.
Bernie Twomey and Gillian Bransfield both had fine runs in the 10Km race where Mark Fuller also had a fine run.Well done all.
