FMC 5 Km Little Island

Sunday morning saw the FMC 5 Km take place in Little Island. The morning was ideal for running with a great crowd of over four hundred runners. Traditionally this was the first race of the season in the days before Parkruns etc. and was always a good pointer in how much was needed for the Ballycotton 10.
We had a great crowd out from the club both male and female. We also had some prize winners with Joan Hough once again taking 1st O/60 and Mark Walsh taking 3rd O/55 whilst our team of Midleton Town Council took 2nd Team Grade C. Our first man home with a fine run was Kevin Smith closely follow by Ger O'Regan who is well on his way to a great marathon in Manchester in April. Our first lady home was Joan Hough who repeated her feat of last weekend in taking 1st O/60. Well done to everyone who ran.
