WEEKEND RUNAROUND
Three Went To Manchester and Three Came Home under Three
Well done to our three Manchester heroes who all had great runs in the Marathon on Sunday morning. In what were good conditions each succeeded in achieving or bettering what they set out to do. First home was Tony Forrestal in a great time of 2.42.32 followed by Daniel Bloom in 2.52.17 and then came Derek Ahern cracking that three hour mark that has been eluding him with the magic time of 2.59.20.
Fantastic results for the lads and for the club just showing that putting in the work pays off.
Well done all ye once again did the club proud.
Well done to Marc Cronin who slipped away to Belfast very quietly last week to Belfast Marathon only to have his Midleton AC singlet spotted and reported back. Marc just back after injury clocked the fine time of 3.38.39.
Well done again to Tony Murray who headed off to the Glen Park Run on Saturday and came home in 6th place overall in 22.19.
Ger O'Regan had another fine run at the Cross Country.
