Gerry Forde with some friends who made a presentation to him today at the Turkey Trot on the completion of his 500th marathon last weekend

Gerry Forde with longtime friends Midleton AC's Kathleen and Donie O'Connell. It was traditional  after the Churchtown South 5 Mile that Midleton AC members were invited to Kathleen and Donie's house for tea and sandwiches and Gerry was always there too.

CLOYNE 4Km

The Cloyne 4Km took place in damp conditions on Sunday morning having been postponed from the previous Sunday due to icy roads. We had a large contingent there as per usual. Our first man home was Tony Forrestal finishing 3rd overall and our first Lady was Eileen Leahy also finishing 3rd overall.

BHAA Turkey Trot in aid of SIMON

We had some runners here today as always in aid of a very worthy cause and great fun was had. The story with this race is there are no watches allowed and you predict your time in advance for 5Km The person nearest their predicted time wins.

There was also a presentation made to Gerry Forde to mark the occasion of his 500th Marathon in Malaga last weekend.
