Manchester Done and Dusted and All Very Happy

Our two Manchester Marathoners hit the roads on Sunday morning and did what was asked of them. Ger O'Regan who was carrying an injury going into the race managed to finish in the fine time of 3.16.24.
Whilst Mark Cronin was going for a PB and its great to report that all the hard work he has been putting in has started to pay dividends and he got his PB coming home in a super time of 3.20.48
Well done guys and looking forward to hearing all the details tomorrow evening.

Great Railway Run
The Great Railway Run 25km race from Cork to Carrigaline was held on Sunday morning There were three hundred and ninety one finishers. We had some from the club there as expected. Tony Murray had a fine run coming in 1.54.04. Susan Fitzgerald and Amanda Cooney had good runs also. It hard to tell from the results who ran as clubs unfortunately are not listed. So anyone else please let me know.

A Few Photos From Our International Crew

BHAA PWC 5Km

Wedensday evening saw the PWC 5KM take place in the City around Kennedy Park circuit. There was a huge crowd there despite the very windy conditions. It was held in aid of Simon and there was a lot of walkers.

We had a good crew there and Vicki Spiteri was our prizewinner coming 3rd in her o/35 cat and scoring on the HSE team as well. Others who ran from the club were Paul Spiteri, John Cashman, Joe Power, Wayne Elms, Maurice Ring, Dan Twohig,Michael Beirne and Ian Kohler Apologies for missing anyone (please let me know) as there is a huge list. One thing to watch for in some of these races is that the start time is the same start time for everyone and the chip only clicks in when you cross the finish line.

International Once Again

Best of luck and safe travels to Derek Aherne who is running the Boston Marathon on Monday. Note I said "running not racing".

Best of luck also to our Captain Ger O’Regan and Mark Cronin who are racing the marathon in Manchester on Sunday. We will be tracking ye guys.
