WEEKEND RUNAROUND

Midleton Flood Relief Fund

In response to the recent flooding which devastated the town, it was decided at our last club committee meeting to hold a raffle with the money raised to contribute to the Midleton Flood Relief Fund. This is a highly worthy cause to show support for our community.
Over the next few weeks at training, we will have tickets for this raffle available.
The draw will take place at the Captain’s Run on 23rd December at Barryscourt Castle.
This raffle is confined to just club members.
The funds raised at the Captain’s Run will also be donated to the Flood Relief Fund.

Prize: €200 worth of sports shop vouchers
Tickets: €10 each
Special thanks to John Buckley Sports and The Edge

Bring money to training please.

Newmarket 5Km

Well done to Amanda Cooney ran the Newmarket 5Km on Sunday as did Paul Spiteri who had a super run clocking 17.36.

Waterford Half Marathon

We had a large contingent at the Waterford Half Marathon on Saturday and all did well.

Our first runner home was Mark Cronin with a PB of 1.27.02 and our first lady was Breda Sheedy.  Siobhan Murphy after a fine marathon debut in Dublin just over a month ago got a PB here today showing once again that the hard work pays off.

Well done all.

Cloyne 4Km Important Information

It has been brought to my attention by some members that the Cloyne 4Km Series does NOT have an Athletic's Ireland Permit and therefore is NOT covered by ATHLETIC'S IRELAND INSURANCE.

(It always had this permit  in the previous series.)
