Churchtown South 4 Mile 

A brilliant night in Churchtown South and so wonderful to see so many from the club out there supporting local races. 

Well done to the organisers on a fantastic night There was enough food left over to feed us all again. Of course we were in the prizes which always makes it a better evening. Sinead Falvey had a really great run and took 1st O/40 whilst our men saw Ger O'Regan 1st O/55, John Cashman 1st O/60 and the great Donie O'Connell running on his home turf took 1st O/70. Well done to all our runners and supporters out there tonight and to the Churchtown South Community Council for making it such a great evening.

East Cork Track Championships

Medals Galore

What a fantastic night we had in Carrignavar tonight. 

A huge thank you to all our athletes and to all those who came to support. We had some great results all round and some near misses also. Dee Duran came away with three championship medals  Gold in the 800m and Silver in both the 100m and the 3,000m. She narrowly missed out in the 3000m having led most of the way but having two tough races in her legs already she just missed out in the last few meters. 

Rod Scanlan ran a great race despite suffering from a chest infection managed a PB and missed the bronze by just one second. Christopher McCarthy gave his new spikes a baptism of fire by taking Gold in the 100m 0/35 and Silver in 300m 0/35. Dan Twohig travelled all the way from Ballybunion to compete and came away with Bronze in the 300m 0/45. Eimear Mullane making her debut on the track took Bronze in the 100m O/35 and likewise Nathalie O'Connell making her debut also took Bronze in the 300m. Ger O'Regan ran a great race to finish 4th O/45 when he should normally be O/55.

All in all it was a great success for the club and our supporters and a huge well done to Carrignavar AC for all the hard work they put into making it such a great night.

APPLE 5Km

We had three runners at the Apple 5Km in Hollyhill on Tuesday evening. Amanda Cooney, Barrie Drennan and Vicki Spiteri who came 2nd O/35. Well done all.
