Course INCORRECTLY Measured
This took place Wednesday evening in beautiful conditions. We had three runners there alongside almost 1,000 others.
Midleton Collective 1st Team Grade C
(Mark Cronin, John Cashman Andre Broadkorb)
Andre Broadkorb 2nd O/55
John Cashman 2nd O/60
The course obviously was incorrectly measured looking at the times.
Very tough on our member Mark Cronin who is running superbly at the moment and was all set to break 18mins for his first time only to discover that the course was 150m approx too short.
He would still have broken it if the course was correct but in reality that's no consolation to someone who cares about their times and results.
No comment from BHAA to date.
Have no fear the Midleton 5 course is correctly measured by the most experienced course measurer around and has an Athletics Ireland certificate to prove it.
Ballintotis 4 Trial Run
There was a brilliant atmosphere at the Trial Run in Ballintotis on Tuesday evening almost better than race night and seeing the joy on peoples faces as they completed four miles for the first time was simply wonderful . We had a fine crew out there as always including some of our C2 5K graduates . Heres hoping the weather next week will be a nice for running as last night. Thanks once again to the Ballintotis crew and to Rossagh Coffee for the tea and coffee after .
Graham one of the best supporters of running around lends his support to the Midleton 5 on the 1st May
