WEEK RUNAROUND

SUPPORT LOCAL RACES

This race was one of the great traditional races in East Cork when it was a part of the great Ballycotton 5 Mile series. Revived in recent years as a 4 Mile it is still a great race and well worth doing even if its only for the great spread they put on after.

Summer Party At The Rock

We had our Summer Club Night out in The Rock Of Cloyne on Saturday night. Organised by our Social Officer Dee Duran and she sure organised a great night. The food and the atmosphere were excellent and a great night was has by all. Needless to say there wasn't much running discussed but mainly some match that is taking place today. Thanks Dee for organising a great night.

Bob Burke 4 Mile Fermoy

We had two runners here in Fermoy on Friday evening Amanda Cooney and Maurice Corcoran

The "Beast Of Beara" Half Marathon

Homeward bound after the ‘Beast of Beara” half marathon.  It was a superb adventure race. 2nd year running. It’s an event I would highly recommend to anyone in the club that might like to do it..

Coming soon the fastest 5 Mile in Munster. This is a hilly race but mostly downhill. If you want a PB this is the place to be.

Gas Networks Ireland 5Km

On Wednesday evening the Gas Networks 5Km took place in Blackrock. It was a nice evening for running with a soft cooling mist. Midleton Collective took 2nd Team Grade C with Mark Cronin, John Cashman and Ger O'Regan  and others had some good runs also including Neilus Aherne also a prize winner taking 2nd O/65 Our first man home was Tim Hannon very closely followed by Mark Cronin and our first lady home was Dee Duran. Well done all who ran.

Cork Graded League

Club member Dinny McLean had a brilliant run in the Graded League in MTU where in the 1500m he once again came first. Running solid all through the race he opened up in the last fifty meters to take a great win. Congrats Dinny.
