Sports Star Of The Month For Midleton AC Athlete

 Cork City Sports is delighted to announce Meabh Corkery of Midleton AC as the recipient of the March Athlete of the Month Award following an extraordinary month of success in the pole vault.

Meabh achieved a remarkable and unique treble of national indoor championship titles during March, underlining her status as one of Ireland's most exciting young field event athletes.

The month began at the National Senior Indoor Championships where Meabh successfully defended her title, producing a personal best clearance of 3.65 metres to claim the senior crown for the second consecutive year.

Just two weeks later, she added the National Junior Indoor title to her growing list of achievements with a championship best performance of 3.61 metres, once again demonstrating her consistency and competitive strength.

Not content with two national titles, Meabh rounded off an exceptional month by capturing the National Under-19 Girls Pole Vault Championship, setting another championship record in the process to complete a unique hat-trick of national victories.

To win Senior, Junior and Under-19 national titles in the same month is a rare achievement and highlights both Meabh's talent and dedication to her sport. Her performances throughout March have established her as one of the leading young pole vaulters in Irish athletics and a wonderful ambassador for Midleton AC and Cork athletics.
