Breffni Three Province Challenge

Our member Tom O'Brien took part in this on Saturday and he reports

Pictures from yesterday Danny. I got a bit carried away with 

my time, I started too quick and then didn’t fancy everyone passing me out again so I just drove on. Hills were like running in Ballynoe but for 21kms. No road closures either so had to navigate a pile of traffic

New York Calling

On Saturday Kathleen Ryan and her brother did a 5 Km in New York with the New York Road Runners Club one of the most famous clubs in USA. In her usual great style Kathleen finish 2nd Lady

KINSALE 5 Mile

Kinsale 5 Mile took place on Friday evening. This is the fastest 5 mile course in Munster and always attracts a great crowd. As always we had a nice crew there with one PB reported so far. Well done Eimear Mullane 

We did have some fine runs there with Ger O'Regan taking 2nd O/50 and Neilus Aherne taking 1st O/70. Thanks to everyone who sent in photos and please keep them coming.

Ballynoe 5Km

What a beautiful evening for a race. Ballynoe looked beautiful and the heat had almost disappeared. A local race with a really great atmosphere with a fine crowd mixing and chatting together. We were well represented with three ladies and four men. Our first lady home was Emma Bell who ran a really class race despite not having raced in some time finishing just over 21min. 

Our first man home was Martin Collier who also had a class run coming home in around 18.30 and winning 1st O/45.Others who had very good runs were Christopher McCarthy, Tom O'Brien and Maurice Corcoran and our ladies Ailin Kennedy and Brigid Ryan. Unfortunately individual winners were included in the team make up otherwise we would have been well in contention for the team prize. Either way it was a fantastic evening. We done to St Catherine's AC for organising and to all our runners and supporters.

BHAA THERMO FISHER

BHAA THERMO FISHER 4mile race in Ringiskiddy 29 July 2026.    We had three runners tonight: Amanda Cooney, André Brodkorb, Fergal O’Meara, and all had a great run. The course was straight and flat, starting in Ringiskiddy village to Haulbowline Island, out and back.  Andre came 2nd M55. Well done all
