ADVICE FROM THE ORGANISERS

John Walshe of the organising committee has again stressed the importance of punctuality to all competitors.
“Some people tend to underestimate the time it takes to travel to the Ballycotton. Sunday is not going to be like any ordinary day. There will be major traffic restrictions in place from early morning. We will again be operating a ‘park ‘n’ ride’ system from various points. Runners will dropped off almost a mile from the start of the race, so it is imperative to allow plenty of time in advance. We would advise everybody to be in the car parks by 11am, the last buses leave at 12noon”

VISIT THE BLOGS

Remember to log on to our club blog, which is updated each day and has additional advice ahead of the race - see http://www.midletonathleticclub.blogspot.com/

Also pay a visit to John Desmond's excellent Cork running blog which is packed with news and facts about Sunday's race.

MATCH CLASH

There should be plenty of after match craic between rival soccer fans from within our club. Sunday’s race will begin at exactly the same time as Manchester United play Liverpool in the Premier League. Anybody free to do score updates along the 10 mile route? Some of us are planning to go into hiding for the evening!
