IPS/GARDA 5Km Marina

We certainly had some class run at the IPS/GARDA 5Km in the Marina on Wednesday evening. Our first woman home was Sheila Buckley who finished 4th Lady overall in a time of 19.20 running with Tri n Run then came a brilliant run from Vicki Cleary breaking the elusive twenty minute barrier for the first time in a time of 19.52 and got herself a new PB. Marie Gillman took 1st O/50 Lady and also 2nd team Grade B with Merck Millipore. Kathleen O'Connell also had a fine run as had Helen Kenny and Sarah Bermingham.
Brian Harty was our first man home in a great time of 17.08 in twenty fourth place He also led his team Harty Tax Consulting to 3rd place Grade A. He was very closely followed by another great run from Paul Spiteri and a PB in a time of 17.17 finishing twenty seventh overall. Declan Dorgan came next also under the eighteen min mark with 17.54. Neilus Aherne had a great run also and easily took 1st O/55. Donie O'Connell 23.11 and Michael McNamara 23.39 both had excellent runs as had Jim McMurty. Young Joseph McCarthy also made a great return to the club. A total of five hundred and sixteen ran.
