Ballycotton 10 Envelope Packing
The packing of Ballycotton 10 envelopes with numbers, pins etc. takes place next Thursday starting at 6pm but you can come anytime after that and you will be welcome Every pair of hands helps, this race just doesn't happen so please play your part in making it happen. Packing takes place in Midleton CBS. Splease lend a hand even for a half hour. The more we have the quicker the job gets done. Thanks Danny
Carrigaline 5 Mile
We had around five runners here today with fine runs from Christopher McCarthy and Kevin Morrison whilst Fergal O'Meara took 2nd O/45 prize. Joan McCarthy and Sandra O'Connor also had good runs.
Cloyne 4Km
Lots of members out in Cloyne Sunday morning where Paul Spiteri finished once again in 3rd male and Eileen Leahy in 2nd Female
Two fantastic local races this weekend and do not forget you can pre enter Carrigaline in case you are in a hurry and want to do the two of them.
BALLYCOTTON WITH DONIE
Donie O'Connell a man with huge experience of this race is organising his annual pre Ballycotton 10 practice run next Saturday 25th Feb. @ 9am. This is geared to those wanting to do between 8.30 --- 9.30 pm pace. All are welcome .
County Roads Championships
The next championship event on the calendar is the Cork Athletics County Road Championships which will be held on Friday, March 17 at 10.00 am in Castlelyons.
This is a 4 mile road race with a separate race for men and women, with each race incorporating novice and masters categories. This means that everyone in the club is eligible to compete, unless there is anyone under 35 who has already been placed in the top three in a previous road county championships.
Castlelyons is a very short journey and the race is short and early so please try to support your club by competing. A small group from Midleton AC competed last year and won several medals. Let's see if we can improve on that this year.
Entries have to be made in advance. So please let me know if you would like to be entered.
