Conna 5 Km

We had a fine number of runners at the Conna 5Km on Friday evening also where two hundred and forty six runners ran. Our first man home was new member young Michael Abbernethy who finished in a fine time of 21.44. Others who ran there were Tom Cody 23.12, Alan Morley 23.42, Siobhan Murphy 25.37, Donie O'Connell 25.53, Emer Hayes 27.41. Well done all.

Kinsale 5 Mile

A big congrats to Edwin Cashman who went out in Kinsale on Friday evening and smashed his PB by 1.09 to finish in a super time of 28.54. Mick Murphy has a great run also to get a new PB of 30.48 as did Don McDonald in 31.54. Great running guys.

Best of luck to everyone running this weekend. The fun starts Friday evening with two races Kinsale and Conna. Kinsale 5 is probably the fastest course in Munster so we will have lots there looking for PBs and more locally is Conna 5km with a very tough first half and a very easy second half. Lots of other races including the World Championships where Cork woman Claire McCarthy will be running the marathon on Sunday. Also on Sunday is the Kilworth 5km.
