EAST CORK TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS
Now that Ballynoe is over the feeling is that we need more races. Here is the chance and choice of lots of races with a distance to suit everyone and also a mixed relay. What more could you want.
Many of you will never have tried track before but here there is a difference as its on grass so why not give it a go and see how you get on. Its open to all levels and the club will even pay your entry fee.

CORK JUNIOR, SENIOR & MASTERS TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021 – INFORMATION
Registration:
All
athletes intending to compete must pre enter where possible through
their respective club competitions secretaries. Entries to be emailed to the
Carraig na bhFear A.C. Competition Secretary Ger Foley at Gerfoley5@gmail.com no later than 10.00pm on Sunday,
20th June.
Only
Athletic Ireland registered athletes from clubs affiliated to the East Cork
Division may compete.
Details
to be forwarded are:
- Athlete name
- Athlete’s club
- Contact phone number.
- Race or races intending
to compete in.
- Athlete’s category –
Junior, Senior, Masters O/35 or Masters O/45.
Club
coaches and officials should also pre-register. Absolutely no entry on the day
to anyone who has not pre-registered.
Competing
athletes should make themselves familiar with and abide by Athletics Ireland
return to competition protocols.
Arrival:
Parking
will be on the college grounds in Carraig na bhFear.
Plan
to arrive in good time for your race as they will go off on time. Allow time to
check in.
Entry
on to the competition area:
Only
pre-registered athletes, club coaches and appointed officials will be allowed
on the competition area.
A
single entry point will be used and all entrants will be asked to use the hand
sanitiser provided.
The
entrance fee is payable at the single point of entry and everyone is requested
to have the exact fee (€5), to be placed in an “honesty bucket”at the check in
desk.
Public
address:
A
public address system will be in operation to call athletes to their races.
Toilet:
A
toilet will be available and appropriate cleaning products will be provided and
all users will be asked to sanitise before and after use.
In
competition:
Athletes
will be called to a “call room“ no sooner than 10 minutes before their race.
Two
“call room” areas will be operated. One for the 100m track and another for the 300m track.
No
medals will be presented on the night, but will be forwarded to the club competition
secretaries at a later date.
Two
official photographers will be taking photographs and they will be edited and
posted on Carraig na bhFear A.C.’s social media platforms after the
competition.
