Cross Country Novice Reminder

There has been an amendment to the email sent last week with the upcoming cross country dates.  The County novice will now be taking place on 9 October. 

The entries for this will be due early next week.  Anyone who would like to be entered in this should let me know as soon as possible.

Janssen 6Km Little Island

A very fine crisp Sunday morning saw the Janssen 6Km take place in Little Island a big difference from the weather of two weeks ago when it was cancelled. There was a small enough turn out bur considering it peak marathon training time it is understandable enough. It should have been the Cork to Cobh weekend but that was cancelled also this year.

We had some runners there and all went very well. Christopher McCarthy was our first man home and he won 2nd O/40 and got a PB as well. John Cashman came next with a very fine run taking 2nd O/55. Well done to all our crew that ran.

Galway Bay Half Marathon 

First on the line this weekend was Amanda Cooney who ran the Galway Bay Half Marathon. Amanda finished fourth in her category in a time of 2.14 in very wet and windy conditions. Well done once again Amanda.
