Edmond and Christine in the prizes
We had a number of runners here today and it was great to see so many on the track where the race finished. We had two prize winners Edmond O'Sullivan (YES Again) taking 1st O/60 and Christine Murphy surprizing herself and getting 3rd O/55.
All others had fine runs on what was a lovely morning for running.

Leinster Indoor Championships
The Leinster Indoor Masters Championships were held in the National Indoor Arena in Dublin along with the U20, U23 and Senior Championships. The facilities were outstanding inside and outside. After a delay to the Masters 800m the M40 race went off at 4pm. As a guest today there was no medals up for grabs so the time was the main focus ahead of Nationals next week in Athlone. The target was sub 2:15 and as close to 2:10 if possible. At the 400m mark I was with the leading group (M35/M40) and on track for 2:10 but I couldn't maintain the pace and finished 3rd with a new pb of 2:16. Garry Mulligan the reigning Leinster and National champion won it in 2:08. Niall Sherlock was just ahead of me in 2nd in 2:14. For Nationals next week the target will be 2:12 to 2:14 to try and get a medal.
Edmond Medals Once Again
Edmond O'Sullivan was in the medals once again today Saturday in the Munster Indoor Masters where in a very close battle for the gold he managed to take the silver. This was great running especially considering it was his first time doing indoors. He was well supported by Neilus Aherne and Tom Cody two legends of the club.
