WEEKEND RUNAROUND Part 2
Silver for O/45 Ladies.
The Munster Masters Cross Country took place Sunday in Watergrasshill and saw one of the biggest crowds from the club in years. Each and every one of them played their part and ran their hearts out. It was great to see so many out there running for the club and also many from the club running for the county in the red vests as well. Also a huge thank you to all the club members who came out to support as well Many came after running the Cloyne race in the morning and its great to report that your support paid off in that our Ladies O/45 team came 2nd in Munster (Margaret Jones ,Helen Gilroy and Marie Gillman) . Incidentally Helen Gilroy also ran Cloyne this morning as a warm up with her daughter Christine.
On a disappointing note cross country stalwart Sally Drennan who had run so well all year had to drop out whilst running very well due to a calf injury. Her fellow team members and supporters were heart broken as this had been a target race for her. Everyone wishes you a speedy recovery Sally and we know you will be delighted with your teams success. Also a speedy recover to Noel O'Regan who also had to miss todays race due to injury also.

WEEKEND RUNAROUND
Cloyne 4Km
On what was a beautiful morning for running the Cloyne 4Km series started with a great crowd of around one hundred and eighty runners and I am delighted to report that we had a great crew there representing the club. To top it off everyone seemed to have fine runs and Eileen Leahy had another great run and was first lady home she was followed by another Midleton AC lady Vicki Cleary who also had a fantastic run. Our first man home was Rod Scanlan and he was closely follow by Mike Cremin.
Great credit is due to the organisers who handled the large crown superbly and after the success of this one I am sure the crowd will be bigger again for the next one.
Thank You
Alan Kelleher extends a big thank you to all the club members who sponsored his recent marathon run in aid of Arc House
Clontarf Half Marathon
Fionan O'hAodain made his comeback here on Saturday with his first race since completing the Dublin City Marathon. Over a tough course although very scenic and with a few miles of running on sand he managed to knock over four minutes off his existing PB for the half marathon which is a good days running in anyone's books. Well done as always Fionan its great to see you getting the times you deserve.

Attention members running Munster masters cross country
The senior races of the Munster masters cross country on Sunday in Watergrasshill will start at approximately 1.00 pm - 1.30 (women first). The official word is that it would be impossible to give an exact time! I would advise the women runners to be there by 12.00 pm and the men not too much after that.
Don't forget you must wear your club singlet and it is a good idea to bring a couple of pins for the race numbers.
See you there.

Great Running by Eileen Leahy
Eileen Leahy is having a fantastic season with the club. This young woman only started competitive running when she joined the club six months ago. Yesterday she was the fourth scorer on the Jnr Cork Team in the Glohealth Inter Counties Cross Country Championships in Dundalk when she helped them take the Silver Medal position. This is a great result and as a club we are delighted with Eileen's success.
