WEEKEND RUNAROUND

Helen Gilroy 2nd in Listowel Half Marathon

On a very wet and miserable Saturday morning Helen Gilroy decided to do her training run as part of the Listowel Half Marathon and wound up coming 2nd Lady overall. What a great way to do a training run and get paid for it. Well done Helen. The rest of the crew did the 10Km where Margaret Jones finished 6th overall and once again 1st in her Category (bur unfortunately the results do not show this but we expect the timing company to rectify this and give Margaret her due credit and prize) as for the rest "what happens on tour stays on tour" except to say that everyone was singing the praises of Eugene McCarthy on his great organising of the whole tour even such attention to details like organising "Cork Colours" for the drink straws in Kerry for Bernie.
