All had fine runs with the two ladies winning prizes. Sheila Buckley with her second race in three days finish 3rd lady overall. Whilst Joan McCarthy fresh from her Dublin Marathon and running in her new category came 2nd O/60.

Cloyne 4Km

A huge crowd turned out once again this morning for the Cloyne 4Km where it was great to see a Midleton AC athlete win the men's race. Young Frank O'Brien had a comfortable win and our first lady home was Eileen Leahy who finished 3rd lady. An added attraction for the club this morning was some of our C2 5K group made their racing debuts and I am delighted to say that they all acquitted themselves very well, ably guided by Alan Kelleher. This group have only started in October and are flying.

Results in from the British and Irish Masters Cross Country has Sinead Keavney finishing 17th overall and fifth Irish woman. Claire McCarthy was the overall winner and the three Irish girls ahead of Sinead were O/35 so Sinead came 2nd O/40 on Irish team. The Irish women's O/40 team took the Silver medals.
Neilus had a brilliant last lap where he passed four or five athletes in his cat. helping his O/60 team take the Gold O/60 team prize.
