WEEKEND RUNAROUND and UPDATES


SUMMER NIGHT OUT



The club is organising a Summer Night Out .Its being co ordinated by Dee Duran our Social Officer.

Venue "Rosie's " Lr Aghada at 7pm on 24th August.

The plan is to meet at Coppingers where taxis will collected us at 6.30pm to take those needing lifts to Rosie's. There will be Finger Food and ONE free drink for everyone.. Taxis will be available from 10.30 on to take people back to Midleton. All enquiries to Dee.


YOUGHAL 10Km and Half Marathon




These two races took place on Sunday morning which luckily was not as sunny as expected. We had several runners there and even came away with prizes. Well done to all

In the 10Km we had Ger O'Regan running 40.21 and taking 1st O/55 and Caroline Geary 47.12 taking 2nd  0/45 A total of 650 finished.

In the Half Marathon we had Darren Aherne 1.22.33 2nd M40, Derek Ahern 1.29.44, Don McDonald 1.37.27, Kieran Curtin 1.38.45 who was wearing the Midleton AC singlet for the first time and Tony Murray 1.42.10. (just back from injury).

and our Ladies were Maire Walsh 1.45.00 , Melanie Etienne 1.48.04. Siobhan Williams 1.53.18 , Bernie Twomey 1.58.13 , Martha McNamara 2.00.06 2nd 0/ 60 Lady, Susan Fitzgerald 2.03.47 and Amanda Cooney 2.20. A total of 691 finished.

MTU Track Times

Midleton AC (Juvenile Section) have the MTU track booked for the following times all year round. 
WEDNESDAY: (4:30 - 6)pm 
SATURDAY: (1:30 - 3)pm 
Sharing with the West Cork Athletics Division on Saturday. 

Midleton AC Senior section is included in this booking and all members free to use MTU track at these times.

Note the Saturday times may not always be available during the track season due to championship events taking place
Track etiquette applies best leave Lanes 1& 2 and use the other lanes. Also please be careful as there may be Field Events going on.

Cross Country
East Cork Division dates planned are September 15th and 28th Oct (subject to confirmation at AGM)
