European Masters in Torun Poland

Monday morning at 8.40 saw Ron Scanlan take to the track for the heats of the M40 800m heats. Rod reports

Finished 15th in Europe in the M40 800m, knocking half a second off my PB with a 2:13.42. Just 6 places shy of qualifying for tomorrow’s European final. Plenty to build on heading toward the European Championships in two years. The first 400m was super quick, I ran it in 57secs and the lactic was off the charts from 500m onwards. I had to go fast to be in with a chance of an automatic qualification finishing in top 2 or 3 fastest losers.
