Midleton AC– 5 Mile Road
Race Update – Just 1 Day to Go
Last evening over 100 entries were taken at Midleton
Community Centre for our race on Thursday evening.
Remember entry will open again at
5pm on Thursday at Midleton GAA
Club. Please spread the word to fellow
members or friends, colleagues who may be running.
At the risk of repeating myself – here are just a few
final reminders that we still need everybody to play their part in order to
ensure the success of the event.
We ask all club members to please bring at
least one sliced pan of sandwiches to help cater for the expected large
entry.
Sandwiches cakes etc aplenty will ensure the race retains
it’s high ranking in the food department. These may be handed into GAA Pavilion from 5pm onwards. More details on food from Margaret Twohig
087-2094493.
We STILL require more stewards to meet safety
requirements – do you know somebody who can help???
Text Edmond O’Sullivan the details on
086-8323267. Edmond’s blue bus will be parked inside main gates of GAA club from
5pm onwards for early arrivals and will be the assembly point for all stewards
and helpers. We do not expect a need for a large number of stewards until after
6.30pm. However a few early arrivals
would be greatly appreciated.
- Best of luck to all our
participants in the big race and especially to our many new members taking part
for the first time. For more details see full race preview, including parking
advice etc on the runningincork blog.
Finally, just an update on the Cheetah 4 Mile Race at
Fota Wildlife Park on Thursday
May 17th – the race is
by entry only.
Limit is 800 -
only 350 places remained at the end of Day 1 on Tuesday. If you wish to enter, log on to runireland web site
or check out the details on the site of the host club www.eagleac.net
