Upcoming
Races
Best of luck to all involved in organising this Wednesday’s Carrigtwohill 5K – a
number of our own members are very much to the fore in this area, so we urge you
all to go along and take part in what should be a great sporting and social
occasion. The race begins at 8pm –
entries from 6pm in the grounds of Barryscourt Castle. (full preview on Cork
Running blog)
Remember the Donoughmore 7 Miler is on Friday at 8pm. Car pooling might be an idea for this
race. Spread the word at the Carrig’
race if you are travelling. (full preview of this race also on blog)
The Banteer 5K has a 1pm start on Sunday next.
Money
Collections
On another note we are looking to some people to help out
with the money collection on Mondays from now until the end of August.
Although we had offers from members who have collected already, it is
unfair to ask somebody to collect for 2 months in any 12 month
period.
In July we
just have 2 weeks remaining Monday
23rd and 30th.
Excluding the Bank Holiday the dates in August are 13th,
20th and 27th.
Can you help out – if so drop an email back
please.
Congrtas To
All
Congrats to all our runners who produced some superb
times in last Saturday’s festival
of running in Killarney.
Bus Trip To
Race
Looking ahead to later in the summer our colleague Noel
O’Regan has been in touch regarding a bus trip for the Route to Crook 5 Mile
race in Crookhaven on Sunday August
19th.
“Depart Midleton at 11am for afternoon 5 mile
race.
Stop for break on the way,
Rosscarbery.

.
Total cost 15 Euro.
Fergal O'Meara will collect deposits of 10 Euro at

bus.

Noel
Good Luck Neilus
On a social note finally, we say best of luck to Neilus
Aherne who opens the door of his new pub in Mogeely on this Thursday evening.
Formerly Ford’s Bar, there will
no doubt be a very warm welcome awaiting for any Midleton A.C
visitors.
