A total of five hundred and twenty one runners took part in last evenings Ballycotton 5the last race in the Summer series. This was the thirty ninth running of the race and was won by Mark Hanrahan in 24.10. We had a great crew there and had some fine results. Our first man home was Morgan O'Regan and our first lady was Sheila Buckley. Our prize winners were Marie Gillman 2nd O/50, Martha McNamara 1st O/55 and Margaret Barry 1 O/65.
Those from the club who qualified for top finisher t shirts were
Brian Harty, Paul Spiteri, Morgan O'Regan, Don Ryan, Aidan Heavin,John Cashman, Neilus Aherne, Mike Cremin, Chris Dowdall.
And the ladies who won them were Shiela Buckley, Eileen Leahy, Marie Gillman, Mary O'Keeffe, Gillian Bransfield, Christine Murphy. We done all these are treasured items especially as only so few qualify for them.
Our ladies also took 2nd Team.
