WEEKEND RUNAROUND

Ballyannan Wood



For those interested Coillte have upgraded the pathways in Ballyannan Wood and the surface is now excellent for running.

Meelin 4 "Twomey Memorial"More Top Class Results

Two of our athletes went to Meelin the highest village in Ireland for the Twomey Memorial 4 Mile on Sunday. Results in just now have Margaret Jones placed 3rd Lady.Well done Margaret Jones and Bernie Twomey.




Glanmire 4 Mile

Top Class Results For Our Club

Barry O'Shea 3rd Overall once again



On a Sunday morning that was very warm for racing we saw some great results from our club members who raced the Glanmire 4 Mile.
Barry O'Shea who is absolutely flying at the moment came 3rd overall in a time of 22.18. Neilus Aherne came 1st O/60 and John Cashman 2nd O/50. Ian Kohler once again came 1st O/70.

Our sole lady representative was not outdone and Christine Murphy came 1st O/45 in a fine time of 32.08.

Other club members who had fine runs were Tom Cody, Alan Morley and Mark Fuller.





Great News

Those of you who have been following the Saga of "The Coaches Missing Bicycle" will be happy to hear that the said machine has been recovered and our beloved coach is back in the saddle and smiling again.





BHAA News

The next race on the Cork BHAA calendar is the Merck Millipore 5k on Wednesday June 13 at 8pm. Please note change of venue for registration which is at Carrigtwohill Community Centre this year. Registration opens at 6.30pm and last entries should be done by 7.45pm to allow time to get to the start of the race.

Belle Of Ballincollig 5Km

Barry O'Shea 3rd overall.



The annual Belle Of Ballincollig 5Km took place on Thursday evening with a total of one hundred and ninety eight runners. Barry O'Shea had a fantastic run and finished 3rd overall in a  time of 17.02 which considering the very warm evening that was there is a great time. Tom Cody also ran and finished 3rd O/60.

Upcoming Races

The annual Coolagown 5Km takes place next Thursday evening. This is a great event Always very well organised over a nice course and a great spread after with plenty of prizes.
