WEEKEND RUNAROUND

Lee Fields 4 Mile

We had three runners here this morning out of a total of two hundred and thirty six. Nick Parkinson was our first home in a fine time of 23.31 and finishing 14th overall. Alan Morley and Bernie Twomey also had fine runs.

Dunmore East Triathlon

"AIRPOWER HOOK OR BY CROOK TRIATHLON"

Club member Sally Drennan took part in this really big triathlon today along with seven hundred others.

Sally finished a fantastic 2nd O/50 and her daughter Alanna was 3rd Junior. Well done ladies.

Half On The Head

The "Half On The Head" half marathon took place in Ballyheigue today and once again Esther Murphy was amongst the prize winners. Esther finished 2nd Lady overall. Francis Maunsell also ran and described it as a very tough course especially today as it was very windy.
It is described as the most scenic half marathon in Ireland but for sure Esther didn't give the scenery much thought in order to achieve such a fantastic result.

Inniscarra 4 Mile

Well done to Sheila Buckley our sole representative in the Inniscarra 4 Mile on Thursday evening. Sheila finished 4Th lady overall with a very fine run on a tough course. Unfortunately the was no 4th prize and no 1st O/35 which she would have won. Well done Sheila. Danny

Coolagown 5Km

Ann Geary 2nd Lady
 Prizes Galore Once Again

On a beautiful evening for running in Coolagown Ann Geary came 2nd Lady overall and Edwin Cashman was our first man home with a fine run especially considering that he races last night as well. We had a very large crew there and its great to see clubs supporting each other's races.

Our prizewinners were Ann Geary 2nd Lady, Martha McNamara 2nd O/55 and our men were Edmond O'Sullivan 1st O/55 and Neilus Aherne 1st O/60. Well done to all who ran.

For those following the "PB Streaks" No Ger O'Regan didn't get a PB tonight either. So are the streaks ended ??? Watch this space.
