WEEKEND RUNAROUND

East Cork Novice Cross Country

Silver Medals For Midleton AC Team

On an ideal morning for cross country  running Midleton AC once again excelled themselves over a muddy but nice course in Watergrasshill on Sunday morning when they took the silver medals for second team.
Several of the team had attended the Christmas Party the night before but Tim Hannon showed no after effects when he led the team home to victory with a brilliant run and came 5th individual. He was followed home by Nick Parkinson who came 9th then came David Moynihan with a solid run as always closely followed by Neilus Aherne, Mike Hallahan, Declan Dorgan and Ger O'Regan all packing well and having excellent runs. Well done all more medals for the collections.

Simon Turkey Trot

We had a nice crew out for the Annual Simon Turkey Trot organised by the BHAA where most people were in festive and our own Donie O'Connell was one of the prize winners. The prize winners were those that predicted their time to the nearest second over a 5Km course.

Christmas Party

A great night was had by all at our Christmas Party and huge credit is due to our amazing Social Committee and Water Rock Golf Club for all the fun. Eugene McCarthy got well deserved Club Person Of The Year and Edmond O'Sullivan Athlete Of The Year. More to follow.

Clonakilty 10 Km

Well done to Barry O'Shea who won the Clonakilty 10Km this morning in an excellent time of 35.15 which is fine running over a tough course.
