Run Killarney

Report from Christopher McCarthy

Erika, Jeremy & I were all very happy with our runs on a beautiful, sunny morning in Killarney & wore our club singlets with pride in the blazing sunshine. We all finished within 5 minutes of each other. 

The scenery is stunning as you would expect. It’s a really well organised event.

Bernie Twomey also ran the half in Killarney and she looked so good in the race top that the organisers asked her to model it. Well done Bernie.

GROCERS 10 Km RUN

Kevin and Richard decided to give the horses a run for their money and did the Grocers Run at Mallow Racecourse on Saturday morning

Cheetah Run 2025

The annual Cheetah 5km Run took place in Fota on Wednesday evening  There was a huge crowd there as always. Our first runner home with a very fine run was Kieran Curtin (19.46) whilst our first lady solid as always was Brigid Ryan. It was a beautiful evening  for running and the winner was the first male in the Midleton 5 Mark Walsh with another great run.

The event organised by Eagle AC was super as always.

John Buckley Sports 5Km Race

This is one of the most popular races around so there will be a very big crowd there also if you keep your number you can get 20% off your next purchase in John Buckley's. Plus there are spot prizes for down the field runners.

Munsters

Munster U20, U23, Senior and Masters Track & Field Championships takes place in Templemore on Saturday and Sunday 24th / 25th May. Anyone looking to compete please let me know by next Sunday 18th May. Provisional Schedule. Regards John  Hennessy Competition Secretary

Pfizer 6 Mile

Over 400 runners took part in this on Wednesday evening. We had four runners there and two were amongst the prizewinners. John Cashman was once again on the podium with 2nd O/60 and Kathleen Ryan in the middle of heavy marathon training 2nd O/35.
