Just a quick word re tomorrow's Ballyandreen 5 Mile Road Race. If you have been before you are well aware of the popularity of the event and there is a distinct possibility that we could see a record entry this year.
It is very important to ARRIVE EARLY at the venue. The approach road to the race start and finish is narrow, but this year there is a significant change.
Entries will be taken at a marquee which will be erected much nearer the wider road - please follow the directions of stewards.
The start and finish remain the same - tea will be served near the finish line and prizes will also be presented there.
Note the house usually used for entries/tea will not be in use this year.
Our own club member Neilus Aherne, Sports/Holistic Therapist is the man to contact for any advice on injury prevention and treatment during the busy summer season of races. With alot of fixtures on the horizon it’s important to have the legs in tip top shape - Neilus may be contacted on 086-8438355 for appointment and advice. He will also be in action in Ballyandreen tomorrow evening.
