Trip To Lanzarote

“ The deadline for booking a place on the Lanzarote trip has been extended ( due to the Volcano ironically!) by the travel agent until June 8th(Tuesday after bank holiday). I am reliably informed that the quoted price may come down by that date.

What’s most notable so far is the absence of new members! Come on folks, get involved and come along. This is what you pay your training fees for…..for club members, the price quoted below will be reduced by club subsidy once we have the final figure for those travelling.

DETAILS FOR PROPOSED TRIP TO LANZAROTE

DATE November 18th to 23rd.

Purpose: to attend the Lanzarote Running challenge

PRICE OF €360 per person BASED ON A PARTY OF 30 TRAVELLING.

Flights accommodation and all taxes and fees are included.

Not included at the moment are Transfers from the airport and Travel Insurance or a checked in bag this can be added at an extra cost. Also not included is race registration – looks like that will be €25 per race.

If you are definitely going at this price, and if 30 people travel, then the club will subsidise the price of the trip depending on how many travel. The trip will NOT happen if we do not get 30 definitely prepared to go at the quoted price. The deadline for signing up to go is Monday 10th of May. Please do NOT sign up to go if you are in any doubt….that could jepordise the trip and the quoted price for everyone.

THURSDAY 18th November Depart Cork 1400 Arrive Lanzarote 1750

Bus to Balcon Del Mar. Relax/chill.

8pm Evening Meal.



FRIDAY 19th

Training run and explore locality

Evening meal/nightlife

SATURDAY 20th

8am – depart for club LaSanta.

8.30 – Morning work-out and breakfast run with snack and fruit provided

1pm – Registration for races and information session in conference centre.

8pm Evening meal and nightlife.

SUNDAY 21st

10am – 10Km Lanzarote Classic road race from Club La Santa

MONDAY 22nd

10am – 13k road and off-road race around a volcano near Club la Santa

TUESDAY 23rd

10am – 5k beach race in Puerto del Carmen
