Daniel Colbert Wins The Munster Senior 400m
To top off what was a fantastic few days for the club Daniel Colbert again showed his class in winning the Munster Senior 400m in Templemore. In a time of 50.65 on what is considered a slow soft track. It is a great win for the club and good prep. for Daniel for the All Ireland U23 in Tullamore next Sunday.

Happy Anniversary
I don't normally do personal stuff on the blog. but in this case I make an exception to wish two of our longest standing members a very happy 40th wedding anniversary and that comes from all the club. And also remember Donie won 1st O/65 in Shanagarry last Thur.

Anna Doris 3rd Lady
Margaret Jones 1st O/45
We had two absolutely brilliant runs here today Saturday with Anna Doris breaking the 90 min barrier coming home in a time of 89.50 and taking 3rd Lady overall and Margaret Jones coming home in 95 and getting 1st O/45. On what by any standard is a very tough course which they keep changing the girls were looking forward to the last mile downhill (as it was last year) only to discover that it was changed and was now uphill. Well done ladies your club is super proud of ye both.

Midleton AC Ladies Win 1st Team In Shanagarry 5 Mile
On a nice night for running there was again a massive crowd in Shanagarry for the second race in the Ballycotton Series. With the rain holding off until just after the race. We had some great results from the club with Brian Harty our first man home knocking 30 seconds off his PB and Sheila Buckley our first lady doing the same with her PB. Sheila also came 5th lady overall and led the Midleton ACs Ladies Team of Vicky Cleary who also had a superb run and Eileen Leahy to victory.
Others who took prizes were John Cashman 2nd O/50, Neilus Aherne 1st O/55 and Donie O'Connell 1st O/65. Whilst the ladies not to be outdone had Marie Gillman 2nd O/50, Martha McNamara 1st O/55 and Margaret Barry 1st O/65. (Results are provisional). A total of 561 ran the race.
