Weekend Runaround

Rio Once Again

"Well Done Lizzie Lee"

Just want to say a huge congrats to the brilliant Lizzie Lee on her amazing marathon run today in the Rio Olympics. Lizzie is a former winner of our own "Joe Hourighan Memorial 5 Mile Race" and is the only one in all the years we have been running this race to come back and say thanks for a great race and prize.
Lizzie you were always a lady but now you are an "Olympian Lady" as well. Danny

Congrats also to your coach and our coach the one and only Donie Walsh

"The Family That Runs Together"
The Route To Crook

Super running today on the Route To Crook by the Murphy Family. Club member Mick Murphy had his highest ever finishing position when he finished 10th overall (31.49) and 3rd O/45 on this tough and challenging course today Sunday but he was slightly outdone by his wife Gillian (35.47) who finished 1st Lady overall. Delighted for both of ye. Well done Danny

Clonmel Half "Boston Scientific"

Some fine running out in Tipperary (as well as hurling) today by our crew of Neilus Aherne and Bernie Twomey who along with her personal pacer Edwin Cashman who seemingly carried a lot of other clubs along as well. It great to see someone like Edwin so willing to help others along. Well done all. (No details of Neilus regarding prizes yet but no doubt he will be in the prizes) Danny
