Your Help Is Needed
Every year some of our members help out with stewarding this event and have become regulars at their appointed spot where the runners expect to see them and get their support. Races cannot take place without stewards If you are free for a few hours on Sunday your help will be greatly appreciated.Danny
Cork Athletics manages and stewards some 60% of the course, from Mahon/Blackrock to the Finish, including the Victoria Road and Model Farm Road relay changeover stations, and all water-stations and road junctions between Blackrock and the Finish Line.

TOURANEENA 5 Km
The Touraneena 5 Km took place on Friday evening. This is part of the West Waterford Series and always attracts a top quality field. We had two runners there with Neilus Aherne back on top once again with 1St O/60 in 19.48 and John Cashman who is in flying form once again 1St O/50 in 20.16. Well done lads that is top class running.
Blast From The Past To The Present
Rooting through the archives I can across this picture from the old East Cork 3Km Series that used to take place around the Dark Road circuit.
The picture shows some current members but the lady on the far left is Joan Flynn who started running with us before moving up country to now run with Mullingar Harriers. Two weeks ago she finished 3rd in the Limerick Marathon in 3.02.23.
