Roscarbery Surf and Turf 10Km
Saturday saw some of the crew head to the Roscarbery 10Km where Michael McNamara came away with 1st O/60. Bernie eloquently describes the race as follows " It was tough more an obstacle course than a run. We had hills, bagpipes, steps, cliff edges, a forest plus a castle, sand dunes and a pontoon across the water to the end. Its one I wont forget and Oh yes there was lashing rain".
Park Run In London
Kathleen O'Connell did a Park Run (her first) in Hampstead Heath London last weekend. She met a girl from Glanmire and Galway there.
Great Results For Our Club
Ballymacoda 4 Mile as always was extremely well organised and great fun with live commentary from Martin Drake.
We had a great crowd there as we always do and it never ceases to surprize me that more clubs and running groups do not support this race in numbers . This years cause was surely one of the most deserving around. It was great to see club members Deidre Aherne and Ger O'Regan back in action after injury. Well done to all who ran.Danny

The first evening of Trail Running (see below for the schedule) was a great success with fantastic reports from everyone who tried it and remember its open to all.
Some of the gang out in Curragh Woods at the Trail Running.
The Fota Race took place on Thursday evening with a sold out entry. It was a beautiful evening for running over this not so easy course. We had a nice crew there and our first man home was Chris Dowdall and first lady was Mary O'Keeffe who also won 1st O/50. Others running were Michelle Dorney, Trisha Deady, Christopher McCarthy and Amanda Cooney doing a warm up for the Bay Run on Sunday.
Well we did say "New members always welcome"
